THE PHILOSOPHY

We started Ventura back in early 2018 because we wanted a true craft alternative to beer and a better way to drink. Something clean, easy drinking, made from real ingredients and without all the sugar, artificial flavours and outdated aesthetics. Wines not session-able, ciders too sweet, beers too heavy and seltzer a tad too boring for our taste buds.

We couldn't find one so we decided to make our own. Naturally combining the creativity of the craft beer industry with the health benefits of kombucha. We made our first batch in the garage from raw fruits and botanicals then kept brewing until we got it just right; balanced, clean, refreshing and most importantly delicious.

After 2 years of development and building the brewery, we launched Australia's first craft hard kombucha in 2020 – a true craft alternative for today's generation and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you!

The Process

  • SMALL BATCH

    Craft brewed in limited small batches using a mix of modern equipment and traditional techniques.

    We start with premium grade, all natural ingredients and slow brew our kombucha base for an extra smooth flavour (minus the excess acidity) so it tastes great and goes down easy.

    Only real ingredients are used with no artificial flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.

  • CRAFT BREWED

    The alcohol is produced by our unique double fermentation, developed and refined over 3 years. No pre-mixing or backfilling with base spirits.

    Fermenting to 5% ABV and finishing in the Goldilocks zone - not too sweet, not too sour, just right.

    It's the slow, hard, expensive way but overall gives a much more complex and integrated flavour profile than other methods.

  • WITH SOUL

    Carefully infused with fresh herbs, fruits and organic botanicals for a deliciously real flavour.

    Gently carbonated upon finishing for a silky smooth, effervescence mouthfeel and crisp, refreshing finish.

    Clean, balanced, aromatic and most of all refreshing. A perfectly balanced boozy booch that hits you exactly where you didn't know it needed too!

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

  • Serve chilled straight from the can or in your favourite crystal glass.

  • Garnish with a sprig of rosemary for the Hibiscus, a slice of fresh cucumber or mint for the Elderflower, and a peel of lemon rind with the Ginger.

  • If you are feeling adventurous you might like to try mixing it in a cocktail, we did and it was good!

  • Pair with good company for easy enjoyable drinking.
