Rouge Awakening | Flemish Style Sour Red Ale
A malty and lightly oaked sour made with local legends Lost Palms Brewing, Rouge Awakening is a twist on the classic Flanders Red Ale. Rather than barrel ageing we blended the kombucha in to give the notable acetic character the style is known for.
The rusty-brown hue throws off shimmers of ruby, and its honey mead character and dark plummy notes hold together the acidity that slices through the middle. A heavy backbone of rich crystal malts gives a balancing sweetness, while dark fruits add character and depth.
